Alice Ridley
Alice came to Campaign for Better Transport from The National Autistic Society (NAS) where she worked as media and PR officer. Whilst at the NAS she worked on a number of high-profile fundraising and awareness campaigns and successfully campaigned for the introduction of the first disability-specific law in England. Prior to the NAS she worked as a press officer for World Cancer Research Fund and National Energy Action, the Newcastle-based environmental charity that develops and promotes energy efficiency services to tackle the heating and insulation problems of low-income households.
Having affordable and environmentally sound transport should be important to everyone, whether you live in a large city or a small village. And as the old saying goes, if you're not part of the solution you're part of the problem.
