The Government's National Bus Strategy had big ambitions to reverse the decline in buses. But our new report, Funding local bus services in England, reveals that the admirable sentiment of the strategy has not been matched by sufficient funding. Only two out of five local authorities received any funding for their Bus Service Improvement Plans.
